Gunslinger Heritage Rough Rider Leather Holster

The Heritage 6.5" model is designed for barrels up to 6" in length. Similar to breaking in new shoes, leather holsters require use to become fully broken in. When the pistol is placed into the holster, the barrel will sit flush with the open bottom. As the leather softens and stretches through continued use, the pistol will settle deeper into the holster, causing the barrel to protrude through the open bottom by 1/4" to 1/2". While most people do not find this an issue, some may wish to prevent any muzzle exposure.

For those who prefer to protect the muzzle, the longer 7 1/2" model is available for an additional $5.00. This extended version ensures the barrel remains fully contained within the holster, even as the leather conforms to the shape of the firearm over time.

Leather holsters, much like a new pair of shoes, require a break-in period to achieve the optimal fit and function. During this process, the Heritage 6.5" model's barrel will become increasingly visible through the open bottom of the holster. While this is a normal and expected outcome, some users may prefer the added protection afforded by the longer 7 1/2" model, which is available at a minimal cost increase.

Ultimately, the choice between the 6.5" and 7 1/2" models comes down to personal preference and the desired level of muzzle coverage. Both options provide a reliable and durable holster solution, with the longer variant offering an enhanced level of protection for those who prioritize that feature.
